Watch 3 FREE SENDcast Sessions to share SEND best practice from award winning special schools

– The NASS Awards celebrate excellence in independent special schools –

Once a year the National Association of Special Schools (NASS) brings its members together to recognise excellence in special schools. It’s a chance for schools to shout about their successes, celebrate staff teams and recognise the difference they are making.

As part of celebrating NASS turning 25, The SENDcast is showcasing the latest NASS Award winning schools – so we can all learn from their success and share best practice. The winners for this school year are…

Outstanding Impact Award: Gretton School
The embedding of Relational Practice

Innovation Award: Aurora Hanley School
Children’s community cooking project: tackling food waste and food poverty

Breaking Barriers Award: Treloar School
Increasing accessibility and inclusivity for students with a physical disability

About NASS

The National Association of Special Schools represents its membership of non-local authority maintained special schools in England and Wales, delivering support, recognition and national representation of their important work. The organisation works in close partnership with its members, other SEND organisations, central and local government, providing insight, information and opinion to help shape the future of special education. The NASS Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of member schools. They’re a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact of special schools and the innovative, inclusive ways they support children and young people.
