About Adam

My name is Adam Millichip, and I am a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher at Tettenhall Wood School in Wolverhampton. With 11 years of experience in SEND education, I previously taught at Severndale Specialist Academy in Shrewsbury. Supporting autistic children is particularly meaningful to me, as my brother-in-law is autistic. This has allowed me to witness the remarkable qualities of autistic individuals first-hand. Raising awareness and fostering understanding of autism is a cause I am deeply passionate about. In addition, I have a strong love for sport and have been actively involved in it throughout my life. Football, rugby, and cricket have been central to my interests from childhood to the present day. When I’m not podcasting, you’ll likely find me with a ball at my feet or a bat in my hand.

The TWS Sports Podcast is hosted by autistic students from Tettenhall Wood School. We set up the podcast to support our pupils with their communication skills, develop confidence and to teach them social skills. Each week on the podcast we interview a famous sports person and chat to them about their career. We have spoken to over 120 sports people from a range of different sports. We are currently in our 11th season of the podcast.
