Supporting Dyslexia Awareness Week 7-13 October 2024

Dyslexia Awareness Week 2024

Dyslexia training sessions and podcasts from the SENDcast

It’s Dyslexia Awareness Week (7-13 October)! Led by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), this national campaign aims to highlight some of the experiences, strengths and challenges that individuals with dyslexia face as part of its mission to remove barriers and create a dyslexia-friendly society.

The SENDcast wants to help raise awareness and improve understanding of dyslexia. We have a range of low cost training sessions and FREE podcast episodes focused around dyslexia – all easily accessible from our website!

What’s your story?

The theme for this year’s awareness week is ‘what’s your story?’  focusing on three clear messages about dyslexia:

Every story is different:  As each person is unique, so is everyone’s experience of dyslexia. By sharing our stories we can support and inspire others –

It’s never too late to change your story:  Every day is a new page where your story can go in a new direction. Help is available so you can start a new chapter –

A strong opening sets the scene: The beginning of a story is crucially important. Help us make sure that support is available at the start of every learner’s journey –
